I am so excited that our cookbook is finally out in the world after two years of work and weeks of waiting for publication day! This cookbook was a labor of love and the recipes truly are some of the best I have ever created. They are family-friendly, healthy, and easy to make. 

The goal of this book (and this blog!) is to make it easier for people to eat healthier, and I truly believe this book does just that. There are over 70 recipes that were meticulously tested to ensure they taste great and WORK every time. 

The meal plans were crafted to be something that you can actually use, packed with a variety of recipes so you don't get bored, and made with affordable, easy to find ingredients. From coconut chicken fingers to lasagna soup to tons of sheet pan and one pot meals, this book has something for everyone. I hope you love it!

Today I wanted to share some questions we have received about the book to help you decide if this book is the right one for you.

Will this work for my family size? 

This book was written with all different family sizes in mind. The recipes are easy to adjust and work for any number of servings. Additionally, we provide a digital companion that will automatically adjust the recipes and shopping list for you. Just tell us the number of servings you want for each meal, and will adjust everything automatically.

My family is so picky, are these recipes picky eater friendly?

With two little girls at home and a picky husband, these recipes are packed with familiar ingredients used in delicious, fun, and new ways. All of the recipes were not only tested by my family, but also by multiple families to make sure they work in real life. You'll find updated versions of classic recipes like American Chop Suey, Chicken Fingers, Carnitas Tacos, Orange Chicken, and more. All healthy, all packed with good for you ingredients, all delicious.

Does this include Weight Watchers points?

We have included Green, Blue, and Purple SmartPoints™ on our website for all the recipes in the cookbook Click here for the list. This book wasn't designed specifically for WW, although almost all the recipes are WW friendly. For those recipes that may be a bit higher in points, I have included easy substitutions and ideas for lowering the points. All that can be found on the recipe list with points.

Is this cookbook only for people on WW?

Definitely not! This book is for anyone who wants healthy recipes that are easy to make and taste great. Since the recipes are made with lean proteins, whole grains, and lots of fruits and veggies - they also happen to work great for people on WW.  Win-win. 

Is it easy to adjust the shopping lists?

Every recipe in the cookbook has a corresponding letter so that you can quickly eliminate or adjust items in the shopping list. It's a foolproof, easy system that makes meal planning simple and straightforward.

Can I use this cookbook without using the meal plan?

Absolutely! At the end of the day, this cookbook is full of 75 delicious, healthy recipes that I know you will love. They are my best recipes and I can't wait for you to try them. The meal plans and shopping lists complement the recipes, but the recipes can also stand on their own.

What if I just want recipes, not meal plans? Is this like a normal cookbook?

Yes! This cookbook is packed with over 70 recipes that work great with or without the meal plans! The great thing about the book is that you can use it for both purposes, making it both an amazing cookbook with delicious recipes, but also  a great resource for planning meals. 

How will I take the shopping list with me? Do I have to copy it from the book?

The cookbook comes with a digital companion! Using this digital companion, you can change the number of servings, move recipes to different days, delete recipes you don't need, and take your shopping list with you on the phone, You can also download it to print if you prefer a paper version.

Do the meal plans include breakfasts? Side dishes?

Yes! The meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and side dishes! If you don't need all of that, you can always adjust your meal plan using the digital companion.

Will I be able to find the ingredients in my local grocery store?

Absolutely! Every single recipe in this book is made with ingredients that you can find in any local grocery store. The book also shares lots of ideas for shortcuts and ingredient substitutions to help you take advantage of what you already may have in your pantry or fridge.

Do the recipes include photos?

Yes! All the main recipes in the book come with a photo. There are a few bonus recipes at the end of the book that does not include a photo.
