Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Popsicles

Fruit and yogurt popsicles with blueberries and raspberries on a tray with ice.

If you’re looking for creamy, delicious, and wholesome popsicles you can make at home, look no further than these Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Popsicles. They are made from a base of the fresh fruit of your choice and plain Greek yogurt, a simple yet show-stopping combination that results in homemade popsicles that are sweet, fruity, rich, and creamy.

Ever since I started making my own popsicles at home, I’ve been completely hooked. The kids and I have so much fun mixing and matching different types of fruit, yogurts, and sweeteners to make the perfect homemade popsicles. Sometimes we even add toppings like chopped nuts or melted chocolate syrup, like in my Healthy Fudgesicles.

One of the things I love most about homemade popsicles is that they are so beyond easy to make. You simply blend up your ingredients like a smoothie, then transfer the mixture to your popsicle molds and pop ‘em in the freezer. The only real work takes you a minute or two, then the freezer finishes the job for you.

My girls and I love making these popsicles before bedtime, then checking out the results the next day… So fun! There’s something about making popsicles yourself that feels super rewarding, especially when you partner up with your youngsters to have them help make their own snacks.

It’s such an easy way to get my kids to eat more fruit and the best part is—they don’t even realize how healthy homemade popsicles are. Trust me when I say you will also want to try these Lemon Lime Popsicles, Creamy Banana Popsicles, and Strawberry Popsicles.

Whip up a batch of your own Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Popsicles and serve them as healthy and refreshing snacks at your next pool party, barbecue, or picnic. These frozen treats are guaranteed to be the life of the party!

Key Ingredients

To make these easy homemade popsicles, you will need the following key ingredients:

  • Fresh fruit: You can use any kind of fruit you like, but I like to use a combination of blueberries and raspberries.
  • Greek yogurt: This protein-packed ingredient gives our popsicles a thick, creamy texture and adds a ton of beneficial nutrients.
  • Maple syrup: This adds a touch of sweetness to enhance the sweetness of the fruit. If you don’t have maple syrup, feel free to swap it out for honey or agave.
  • Water: While I use regular filtered water in this recipe, you can substitute it with flavored water, fruit juice, or the milk of your choice.

Recipe Variations

Looking for ways to spice up this recipe? Here are some easy and fun ways to change it up:

  • Use different fruits. While I often use mixed berries in these popsicles, I love switching it up and using different fruits depending on what I have at home. Try out a different combination like strawberry and banana or pineapple and mango.
  • Switch out the liquid. Don’t want to use plain old water? No problem, you can use any kind of liquid you like. Flavored water, fruit juice, and almond milk all work well.
  • Use a different yogurt. I like to use plain Greek yogurt in this recipe, but you can make your popsicles with any kind of yogurt you like. Flavored Greek yogurt, regular yogurt, coconut milk, and any dairy-free yogurt alternative will do.
  • Make an adult version. Hosting a barbecue? Try making an adults-only version by adding a little vodka or rum to the popsicles for boozy frozen treats.

How to Store Homemade Popsicles

Storing these healthy frozen treats is a breeze, so feel free to make a big batch all at once. While the popsicles will need to be kept in the molds for at least 6 hours to fully freeze, they shouldn’t be stored in them long-term. They won’t spoil, but storing popsicles in their molds is a surefire way to get freezer burn.

Instead, you should transfer the fully-frozen popsicles to an airtight storage bag. When stored properly, the popsicles will maintain their color, texture, and flavor in the freezer for up to 1-2 months.

Start with a whole grain rolls and add the shredded beef and some sliced or ...
